Planning a larger residential fencing project
For a new home or full-property replacement, it is useful to plan the side, rear and front boundaries together. This allows fence height, materials, sleepers, pedestrian access and driveway gates to be reviewed as one project while still identifying any sections that need a different solution.
Where a retaining wall meets the fence
If soil levels change across the boundary, a sleeper below a fence is not automatically a retaining wall. Where retaining work is required, the wall, drainage, posts, fence height and installation sequence should be assessed together. See our retaining-wall services and planning guidance.
What supply and installation may include
The confirmed quotation identifies the selected fencing system, height, posts, rails, sheets or palings, plinths or sleepers, agreed gate hardware and installation. Removal, difficult excavation, retaining work, delivery and other site-specific items are included only when they are written into the quotation.
