Sheet height is different from the total height once sleepers and site levels are considered. Confirm the intended finished height in your quotation. Custom gates, different specifications and site-specific work are quoted separately.
How much would a 20-metre fence cost?
A 20 m fence with standard 1.8 m sheets and no sleeper has a guide fencing cost of $2,662 including GST. Our online estimator adds a $110 delivery allowance including GST, giving an example total of $2,772 including GST. This example excludes old-fence removal, gates, excavation and other site extras. It is a budgeting example, not a fixed quotation.
Is removal of the old fence included?
No. Old-fence removal is a separate quoted item. The current website guide is $44 per metre including GST ($40 excluding GST), subject to the fence, access and agreed scope. For example, removing 20 m would add $880 including GST at that guide rate. Ask us to confirm what will be removed and taken away before accepting the quote.
What can change the final price?
- Height and sleepers: taller sheets and additional sleepers change the materials and installation requirements.
- Access and ground: narrow access, rock, excavation, slopes and difficult digging need a site assessment.
- Gates: confirm opening width, gate style and hardware; custom or driveway gates need their own quote.
- Other work: removal, retaining work, service locating, delivery and any required approvals should be clear in the written scope.
Can the fence retain soil as well?
Tell us about any level difference before we quote. A sleeper beneath a fence does not automatically make it a suitable retaining wall. Where soil needs retaining, plan the wall and fence together. Our retaining-wall guide explains the main considerations.
What should I send for an accurate quote?
Send your suburb, approximate length, preferred sheet height, sleeper requirements, gate sizes and photos of the boundary and access. Tell us whether the existing fence needs removal. We confirm measurements, conditions and the complete scope before giving a final quotation.
