A long boundary run or whole-property fence replacement needs more than a per-metre choice. The quotation should define each side of the property, corners, changes in ground level, sleepers, gates, access, removal and where materials can be delivered.
Long boundary fence runs
Measure the complete run and record changes in direction, slope and height. The site assessment checks whether the same fence system can continue throughout or whether sections need a different base or finish.
Whole-property replacements
Side, rear and front sections can be quoted together, including pedestrian or suitable driveway gates. The written scope identifies what is replaced, what remains and how access is maintained while work is underway.
Retaining walls and fence lines
Where ground levels or an existing retaining wall affect the boundary, that condition is assessed before the fence system is confirmed. Retaining work is included only when it is clearly listed in the quotation.
What to confirm before replacing a shared boundary fence
Property owners should confirm the proposed boundary, discuss the work with adjoining owners and check relevant council, estate or planning requirements before installation. If the boundary position is uncertain, a licensed land surveyor may be needed. What to send for a site-specific quote
Send the suburb or town, approximate length of each boundary, preferred material and height, sleeper and gate requirements, clear photos of the full fence line, access and material-delivery points, and whether the old fence needs removal. For a whole-property job, a simple marked-up plan helps identify the front, side and rear sections.

This is project-by-project availability, not a claim of a regional office or a completed job in a particular town. Agricultural wire, electric and livestock fencing are not included in this service.

With 150mm plinth: $105/m + GST.
With one 200mm sleeper: $110/m + GST.

Height and quotation options
A 2.1m paling upgrade adds $12/m + GST to the selected option.
Old-fence removal, gates, difficult access and other site-specific work are confirmed separately in the quotation.
Screwed framing for a stronger timber fence
For our standard timber paling fence work, we use screws for the structural framing connections rather than relying only on nails. Nails are used to fix the individual palings. This installation method helps create a stronger, more secure frame while keeping the palings neatly fixed.

Should I choose a plinth or a sleeper?
The suitable base depends on the boundary level, ground contact, drainage, appearance and how much separation is required below the palings. Site conditions are checked before the option is confirmed.
Can Evergreen remove the old fence?
Yes, old-fence removal and disposal can be included when requested. It is priced separately after the fence type, access and disposal scope are checked.
Does Evergreen use screws or nails for timber fence framing?
